Dr. Joson is the clinical pharmacy and residency program director for Adventist Health, Bakersfield. Dr. Joson earned his doctorate in pharmacy at University of the Pacific, Stockton, CA. He started his career as a retail pharmacy manager before pursuing a PGY1 residency program at Kern Medical in Bakersfield, CA. Upon completion, Dr. Joson climbed up the pharmacy ladder, serving in roles such as Operations Manager for both in- and out-patient pharmacies, Associate Director, and finally Director of Pharmacy for Kern Medical prior to moving to Adventist Health. Dr. Joson helped to implement Kern Medical’s meds-to-beds program. Dr. Joson was a consultant pharmacist for a local insurance company, performing MTM for patients as well.
Currently, Dr. Joson oversees all pharmacy clinical services for Adventist Health in the southern central California network. He is the residency program director and teaches pharmacotherapy for nurse practitioner students at California State University, Bakersfield, CA. He is board certified in pharmacotherapy and medication therapy management. He also holds a California Advanced Practice Pharmacist license. On weekends, Dr. Joson does wedding and portrait photography and videography. Dr. Joson’s interests are in internal medicine and cardiology.
