Joseph Nosser is a newly-appointed board director for the National Board of Medication Therapy Management (NBMTM) since September 2024. He currently serves as an Assistant Professor of Pharmacy Practice with the William Carey University School of Pharmacy in Biloxi, Mississippi. He practices as an outpatient clinical pharmacy specialist with the Forrest General Hospital Family Medicine Residency Clinic in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in biochemistry from the University of Southern Mississippi in 2013. He also earned his Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree from Samford University McWhorter School of Pharmacy in 2019. He also completed a PGY-1 community-based pharmacy residency from the University of Mississippi School of Pharmacy in 2020.
Dr. Nosser is a Board-Certified Ambulatory Care Pharmacist (BCACP) through the Board of Pharmacy Specialties (BPS) and a Board-Certified Medication Therapy Management Specialist (BCMTMS) through the National Board of Medication Therapy Management (NBMTM). He is the founder and chief executive officer of Rx Wellness Clinical Solutions, LLC, an independent pharmacy consulting firm, which helps local independent pharmacies throughout southeast Mississippi to create and implement various clinical services (i.e., medication therapy management, immunizations).
His professional interests include medication therapy management in ambulatory care pharmacy practice, innovative pharmacist-led clinical services (i.e., continuous glucose monitoring), along with precepting and training future generations of student pharmacists in Mississippi. He attributes his passion for teaching and serving his local community to his three aunts, who are retired teachers with a collective experience of over 100 years in private and public school education in Vicksburg, Mississippi.
